Jim passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at Kelso Pines Retirement Lodge on October 8, 2021. Born on February 25, 1932, James Charles Muzzell of Owen Sound, was in his 90th year.
Loving father of Kenneth Muzzell (Theresa) of Kemble, Donna Muzzell of Mount Forest, Marlene Muzzell of Lumby, BC, Thomas Muzzell of Mount Forest, Tracy Novak (Steve) of Waterloo and Carrie Willis (Bruce Phillips) of Kitchener. Cherished grandfather of Connie Muzzell-Willcott, DeneseMuzzell, Jason Gill, Janette Gill, Stan Elder, Jeff Elder, Jennifer Muzzell, Kevin Muzzell, Theo Novak, Evan Novak, Dylan Phillips, Ashley Phillips, and great-grandfather of Connor Gill, Isaac Elder, Lucas Elder, Logan Muzzell, Riley Muzzell, Jade Muzzell, Liam Elder, Logan Elder and Ally Elder. Jim will also be missed by his dear friend Carol Willis.
Predeceased by his special aunt and uncle Jessie and John Muzzell, grandson Trevor Muzzell, cousins Ted Muzzell, Ron Muzzell, and by his mother-in-law Edna Allan.
Jim was a motorcycle enthusiast, talented woodworker and loved kayaking and boating.
Visitation will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Monday, October 11 from 2-4 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate Jim’s life will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, October 12 at 11 a.m. Those who wish to attend the funeral service must RSVP through Jim’s memorial webpage on the funeral home website or by calling the funeral home. RSVPing is not required for the visitation. All attendees at the visitation and funeral service must wear a mask and follow social distancing protocols. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.
