CURTIS, John “Jack” McFarlane – Surrounded by his family, a fixture of John Street in Chatsworth, Jack Curtis passed away peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, on Friday July 29, 2022, at age 94. He is now reunited with his wife of 50 years, June Hazel (nee McLean) who predeceased him in 2004.
Loving father of Sue Noble (Shawn Bryan) of Owen Sound, Pam Campbell (Dan Burrows) of Southampton, Jackie Donaldson (Gord Dickinson) of Williamsford, Kelly Curtis of Windsor, and Kim Brown (Dennis) of Southampton. Proud grandpa of John (Victoria), Lindsey, and Jordan Noble, Emily (Reece Cain) and Joshua Campbell (Sarah-Beth Sztrimbely), Brett Donaldson (Cayla Downs), Cassandra Reid (Steven), Kailey Donaldson (Nick Adamick), and Nicole (Luke Den Tandt) and Rebecca Brown. Great-grandpa of Evelina, Jaelyn, William, Zoey, Charlie, Ryan, and Cadence. Fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law Joyce, Karen, and Linda McLean, and Lorna Oatt. Jack especially enjoyed visits from his McFarlane cousins.
Predeceased by his parents Orwood “Bus” and Dorothy Curtis (nee McFarlane) and by grandparents Olevia and George McFarlane with whom he was lovingly raised. Also predeceased by in-laws Gloria Dewar (Archie), Ruth Clark (Richard), Gordon (June), Harvey, and Jack McLean.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Garafraxa Hill Funeral Home, Chatsworth. Visitations will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday August 3, from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday August 4, at 11:00 am, Reverend Bill Vanderstelt officiating. Interment at Chatsworth United Church Cemetery.
