John McKay

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John McKay, on Thursday, October 6, 2022, in the Meaford Hospital at the age of 72. Born in Meaford on June 4, 1950, he was the son of Hugh Edward “Ted” and Florence (nee Kingston) McKay. John is survived by his wife Linda, daughter Kimberley and brother Ronald (Gail). Lovingly remembered by 3 brothers-in-law, 10 nephews and 4 nieces. He was predeceased by sisters Dianne (Winch) and Margaret (Arthurs).
John was a dedicated employee of Amerock factory, Meaford and the Canadian Base Operators at LFCMTC, Meaford. John enjoyed going to the local ball diamond, volunteering for the Knights of Meaford Jr A Hockey team and playing euchre with family and friends. John’s family and friends will cherish many fond memories of him. He will be dearly missed by everyone.
A celebration of John’s life will be held at the Church of Christ, 113 Nelson St. W., Meaford on Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 2 – 5 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services.
