Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family, at the Brightshores Health System in Owen Sound, on Wednesday, July 17th, 2024. Joyce Isobelle Keeling (Byers), of Owen Sound, at the age of 80 years.
Dearly loved wife and best friend of the late Clinton “Murray” Keeling. Loving mother of Trevor Keeling and his wife, Deanna, of Pickering, Kent Keeling and his wife, Rebecca, of Peterborough, Tara Hahn and her husband, Nick, of Owen Sound. Proud Nama of Dylan and Connor, and proud Grandma of Jakob and Cameron. Dear sister of Jean Watson of Nepean, and sister-in-law of Virginia Byers of Mount Forest, Gwen McKenzie (Roy), of Owen Sound, Ron ‶Butch″ Keeling (June), of Owen Sound, Joan Henry (Ken), of Parry Sound. Joyce will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her parents Samuel and Dorothy Byers (nee Tribble), her brother Leslie Byers, and her brothers-in-law, Bill Watson and Leo Cooney.
Visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Monday, July 22, 2024, from 3-6 p.m. A Memorial service to celebrate Joyce’s life will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at 1 p.m., followed by a reception at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Shiloh Cemetery, with Rev. Dr. Keith Sweeting officiating.
For those unable to attend in person, the memorial service will be livestreamed and a recorded version will be posted online.
