Peacefully at Brightshores Health System – Owen Sound on Sunday, February 16, 2025. Born in Chatham on June 17, 1952, Larry Joseph Demars of Owen Sound was in his 73rd year.
Beloved husband for 52 years of Joyce Demars (nee Weller) of Owen Sound. Loving father of Joe Demars (Teena) of London and Alissa Demars of London. Cherished grandpa of Curtis, Kyle and Justyn. Proud great-grandpa of Oliver and Joey. Dear best friend of Dale MacVicar and Jim Austin. Survived by his brother Dan Demars. Larry will also be missed by his many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Betty Demars, and by his sister-in-law Shirley Demars.
Larry had a passion for music and his guitars were his life. He also enjoyed spending time in his woodworking shop.
In keeping with Larry’s wishes, cremation is taking place and a come & go memorial visitation will be held at Best Western Inn On The Bay, 1800 2nd Ave. E., Owen Sound, on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
