Peacefully, at Chapman House Residential Hospice, Owen Sound, on August 27th, 2020.
Leslie “Les” Errol Hooey born in Hamilton on, November 25th, 1944.
Missed by his wife of 56 years, Mrs. Julia Hooey (nee Hamilton). Survived by his children Michael Hooey of Keswick, James Hooey (Tracey Watson) of Tobermory and his grandchildren, Zackary (Michelle), Zane and Madison.
He is also survived by his cousins and relatives from the Vamplew family and several nieces and nephews from the Hamilton’s, Brown’s and Kerek’s families. He is predeceased by his parents Errol and Irene (nee Vamplew).
Les was a proud employee for RBW Graphics for over 37 years, with his roots in the Beaver Valley, Les was a graduate of Thornbury High School.
A Come and Go Celebration of Life for Les will be held at the family home, 1571 – 6th Avenue East, Owen Sound, on Sunday, September 20th, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. For everyone safety and comfort the family requests that physical distancing be honored during the celebration.
