Linda Graham of Meaford passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre in Owen Sound in her 74th year.
Born in London, Ontario on June 28, 1947, Linda was the daughter of the late Ken Graham and Viola Graham (nee Cann), and her adopted father the late Ernest Burgoyne.
She is survived by her son Richard Cornelissen, his wife Amanda and grandchildren London and Victoria, and by her son Karl Cornelissen.
Linda made many memories travelling with her Mom to the warm south, escaping the cold Ontario winters for many years. She was a voracious reader who soaked in every word, lived every chapter, and loved every story. While she so enjoyed the warm south, Linda’s comfort was always in her home on the shores of Georgian Bay, sitting with a book, just waiting to turn the page. “She reads books as one would breathe air, to fill up and live.” – Annie Dillard
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at a future date.
If so desired, as an expression of sympathy, donations to Friends of the Meaford Library would be appreciated and may be made through the Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E., Meaford, ON N4L 1B9 to whom arrangements have been entrusted. www.fergusonfuneralhomes.ca
