Lois Amy Gallen

Passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, on Friday, May 21, 2021. Born in Sudbury, Ontario, on July 1, 1929, Lois Amy Gallen (née Smith), was in her 92nd year.
Loving mother of Robert Gallen Jr. and his wife Laurie of Owen Sound, John Gallen and Patricia of Rocky Mountain House, AB, and mother-in-law of Kevin Elgie of Dawson City, YT. Cherished grandma of Nicky Brooks Askin, Lee Askin (Gesika), Carly Gallen, Robert Gallen, and great-grandma of Blake Askin. Lois will also be dearly missed by her close family friend Sandy Doherty of Owen Sound.
Predeceased by her husband Robert Gallen Sr., daughter Shari Lee Gallen Askin, and by her mom Wilkie Smith.
In keeping with Lois’ wishes, cremation will be taking place and a memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation or the Owen Sound Commerettes would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
