Marian Georgina Hayward

It is with great sadness and a profound sense of loss that we wish to announce the passing of Marian Georgina Hayward who passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Summit Place, Owen Sound, on August 31, 2021. Born in Owen Sound, on June 4, 1927, Marian (née Whalen), was in her 95th year.
Loving mother of Stephen Hayward (Melissa McGregor) and Paul Hayward, all of Owen Sound. Cherished grandma of Kailey McGregor-Hayward, Kelsey Mellor,Kaitlyn Mellor and Kyla Mellor. Dear sister-in-law of Nancy Chin (Kenneth) of California, Shirley Hayward (the late Kenneth) of London and Sharon Hayward (the late David) of Owen Sound. Also missed by her nieces, nephews and cousins Marg King (Bert) of Annan, Delyla Melbyehanson (the late Erl) of Thornbury and Patricia Brown of Owen Sound.
Predeceased by her husband Ted Hayward (1993), parents Stuart and Irma Whalen, and by her siblings-in-law Bill Hayward (Fran), Jill Tucker (Gerald) and Ruth Gacs (Louis).
A private funeral service to celebrate Marian’s life will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 519-376-7492, followed by interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound.
