Marie passed away at Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Tuesday, June 29th, 2021. Born on November 1st, 1932, Florence Marie Jackson (née Dunlop)
Dearly loved wife of the late Alfred Jackson (October 16th, 2010). Loving mother of Donna Nickerson (Wayne) of East Linton, Iona Donnelly (Wayne) and Debbie Ollerton (Colin) both of Owen Sound, Sherry Dickert (Rick) of Toronto and Lori Jackson of Chatsworth. Proud grandmother of Tracie (Malcolm), Dana, Nick (Nikki), Matthew (Jessica), Staci (Sean), Christopher and great-grandmother of Erin (Jakob) and Cole (Ashley), Brielle and Nash. Dear sister-in-law of Norma Dunlop, Charles Jackson (Evelyn), Ivan Jackson (Carol) and Ruth Murphy (Gil). Marie will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her parents Belford and Myrtle Dunlop, her siblings, Norma Gilchrist (Neil), D.A. Dunlop (Vicki), Nolan Dunlop (Wilda) and Wilfred Dunlop, her parents-in-law, Russell and Alzina Jackson, her in-laws, Lloyd Jackson (Ella), Mae Menary (Mervin) and Christena Jackson.
Visitation will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Monday evening, July 5th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. With COVID-19 restrictions guests must wear a mask, follow social distancing protocols and schedule a time by calling the funeral home or RSVP through the website. A private funeral service to celebrate Marie’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 6th, 2021 with Michael Henkel officiating. Although it’s private, friends are welcome to view the service via livestream on the funeral home website (woodfuneralhome.ca), on Tuesday, July 6th at 1:00 pm.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Central Place for their care and friendship over the last 11 years, Dr. Vasilevskaya and the nurses/staff on the 4th & 6th floors at Grey Bruce Health Services for their devotion to Mom’s needs.
