Marion Ward passed away peacefully at the Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre in Owen Sound on Friday December 31, 2021. Born in Annan February 15, 1927, Marion was in her 95th year.
Dearly beloved Wife and Best Friend for 55years to the late Harold Edward Ward (March 26, 2001). Loving Mother of Catherine Johnston (Harold) of Kemble; Louise Gibson (Dwayne) of Atwood and the late Donna McMillan. Cherished Mother-in-law to Brian (Loretta) McMillan of Thornbury. Special Friends to Sharon (Clint) Kuhl Family & Chris (Russ) Miller. Proud Grandmother of Pam (Shane) Spurr of Orillia, Kelly (Mike) Stones of Barrie, Kevin Grimoldby of Barrie, Trevor Grimoldby of Owen Sound, Deanna McMillan (Glen Butt) of Barrie, Michelle McMillan (Ken) & Robb McMillan of Calgary, and Kailey McMillan (Ryan Perry) of Meaford. Great Grandmother to Liam, Hannah, Abigail, Preston, London, Alexa, Tristan, Jaelyn, Brynley, McKenna, Emersyn and Sawyer. Dear Sister of Elva (late Clayton) Walmsely of Walkerton, Muriel (late Art) Alexander of Manitoba, and Irene (Paul) Rogers of Owen Sound. Sister-in-law to Jean of Owen Sound, and Trudy Hutchinson of Guelph. Predeceased by her parents Stanley and Nellie Hutchinson, siblings Merle Hutchinson, Lillian Sitter (George), Elgin (Phyllis), Norm, Melville, and Keith Hutchinson. Marion will be missed by many nieces and nephews and her special friends at First United Church. Special Thanks to the Staff on 6-2 Floor and Dr. Doelman.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Tannahill Funeral Home, 1178 4th Ave West, Owen Sound, 519-376-3710. Masks and social distancing will be required.
A private family service to celebrate Marion’s life will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 2:00pm.
