The family of Aileen Wheildon (nee Cain) of Chatsworth, sadly announce her passing at Summit Place Owen Sound on Sunday April 11, 2021, in her 94th year.
Dear wife of 71 years to Francis, and loving mother of Mary Lou of Wasaga Beach and Tom (Janet) of Chatsworth. Cherished grandmother of Lisa Leclerc (Simon) of Guelph, Jeffery Peers of Consecon, Craig of Owen Sound and Nolan (Amy) of Wiarton and eight great grandchildren. Survived by her sister Marge McNabb (Wayne) of Kitchener and many nieces and nephews.
Aileen was predeceased by her parents Frank and Mary Cain (nee Hewitson) of Desboro and son-in-law-law David Peers (2004). Also predeceased by sisters and their spouses Audrey Elliot (Frank) of Waterloo, Jane Thompson (Lloyd) of Brampton, Catherine Fritsch-Parker (Harold) of Paisley and brothers and their spouses Frank of Southampton, Hewitson of Desboro, Victor (Marie Leifso) of Desboro, and Brownlee (Lyla Baker) of Desboro.
The family would like to thank the staff of the LHIN agency Para Med and Catherine Darbyshire to name a few, of the many, helping hands keeping mother at home, in her favourite chair, until her recent hospitalization. It takes family, neighbours and a community to make this happen.
Cremation has taken place and arrangements entrusted to the Garafraxa Hill Funeral Home, Chatsworth. A private graveside family service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound. Online condolences may be expressed at www.garafraxahillfuneral.com
