Peacefully at Brightshores Health System Owen Sound, on Sunday, August 25, 2024. Born on Thursday, March 3, 1938, Maybelle Dorothy McCulloch (nee Johnston) of Owen Sound, was in her 87th year.
Beloved wife of Glenn McCulloch for 67 years. Proud mother of Ann Bellamy (Gary) and mother-in-law of Jim Lisk (Diane) and Rob Travis. Loving grandmother of Joseph (Christy), Adam, Mason (Reanna) and Emma Bellamy (Will Hicks). Cherished great-grandmother of Jack, Bobby, Jonny, Emerson, Abigail, Grace and Hadley. Dear sister of Alex Johnston (Jill), Kay Cowan (Bob) and Linda Harden (Wayne). Maybelle will also be missed by her many nieces nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her parents Thain and Dorothy Johnston (nee Mason), her children Wanda Lisk, Brian McCulloch and Beth Travis, her siblings Harold Johnston (Esme) and Grace Limbert (Dave), and her best friend Nellie Byers.
Maybelle’s family wishes to thank the nurses and doctors on Brightshores Health System’s 6th Floor for their special care during her final days, and Dr. Edwards for Maybelle’s home visits.
Visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 10-11 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Kristal McGee officiating followed by a reception. Interment will take place in Hillcrest Cemetery, Tara.
