Peacefully at Brightshores Health System – Owen Sound, on Sunday, September 8, 2024. Born in Owen Sound on September 27, 1964, Rhonda Lynn Emmerson (nee Sword) of Bognor, was in her 60th year.
Beloved wife of Bob Emmerson of Bognor. Loving mother of Dan Emmerson of Owen Sound and Nicole Emmerson (Cliff) of Owen Sound. Cherished grandma of Katie and Zoe. Dear daughter of Ron Sword of Beaverton and sister of Lee-Anne Russell (Mike) of Beaverton. Rhonda will be missed by her nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her daughter Crystal and by her mother Pat Young, who, on her birthday, was a welcoming Angel on the day of Rhonda’s passing.
The family would like to express their many thanks to the Dialysis Unit at Brightshores Health System, as well as the many nurses and doctors who cared for her over the last few years, especially Dr. Peter Blake and his team at Victoria Hospital in London.
In keeping with Rhonda’s wishes, cremation is taking place and a celebration of her life will be held at Bognor Community Centre, 597353 Grey Road 29, Bognor, on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
