Robert Bruce MacDonnell

Passed away suddenly in Georgian Bluffs on Saturday, March 20, 2021. Born in Owen Sound on December 9, 1968, Robert Bruce “Rob” MacDonnell of Owen Sound, was in his 53rd year.
Dearly loved husband and best friend of Keri MacDonnell (née McMillan). Cherished father of Emma MacDonnell and Dallas and Austin Kernighan. Loving son of Robert and Marjorie MacDonnell. Dear brother of Bev MacDonnell (Charlene), Ted MacDonnell (Pat), and brother-in-law of Brad McMillan (Tammy). Loved uncle of Trent, Tori, Adam and Michelle MacDonnell. Rob will also be missed by his loving canine companion, Roxie.
Predeceased by his parents-in-law, Clark and Margie McMillan and his grandparents, Donald “Mac” and Hilda MacDonnell and Bruce and Jean Tolton.
Rob had a passion for racing anything with an engine. He loved being included in helping with his family’s horses, and was an avid fisherman.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial visitation will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Friday, March 26, 2021, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. With COVID19 restrictions all attendees must wear a mask, follow social distancing protocols and RSVP through the funeral home website or by calling the funeral home. A private celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021, with Rev. Kristal McGee officiating. Although the service is private, friends are welcome to view the service via livestream at 11 a.m. by selecting the ‘LIVE STREAMING’ menu option at the top right corner of the funeral home website (woodfuneralhome.ca). Interment to take place in Hillcrest Cemetery, Tara.
