Ruth Joy Carson

Passed away peacefully at Southbridge Care Home on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. Born in Strong Township on August 9, 1933, Ruth Joy Carson (nee Hicks) of Owen Sound, was in her 92nd year.
Beloved wife of the late James Carson. Loving mother of Colleen Robbins (Dave) of Owen Sound. Cherished grandma of Mark and Megan. Dear sister of Howard Hicks (Lois) of St. Catharines, Sylvia Bagley of St. Catharines and Doris Shtogryn of Toronto. Dear sister in law of Josephine Hicks of St. Catharines. Ruth will also be missed by her nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her parents Manson and Christina Hicks, brothers Clifford Hicks, Floyd Hicks, and Doug Hicks, and by her brother in law Lloyd Bagley.
A funeral service to celebrate Ruth’s life will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. Interment will take place in Shiloh Cemetery.
