It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Stacey Ryan on Friday, March 25, 2022 at the age of 53.
Stacey was many things including a loving, compassionate, devoted, dedicated, dependable, determined, and heartfelt father to his daughters, Emma and Sadie Ryan.
Stacey was welcomed into this world on November 5, 1968 in Fergus, Ontario to his proud parents Charlene (nee Johnson) Ryan and the late George Ryan. He was the loving brother of Steve and Cheryl Ryan, Shelley and late Rolf Wiebe and Susan and Kelly Hodgkinson.
Stacey was the caring uncle of Shayna Ryan (Matt), Tiffany Hodgkinson (Nathan) and Chandler Hodgkinson and great uncle to Ashton and Piper Lenny.
From his early years Stacey enjoyed spending quality time with his loved ones, camping with his family, fishing at the Meaford Harbour, downhill skiing at Georgian Peaks and socializing with anyone he ran into.
Stacey’s first job was working for his parents at Jet Variety. He worked in construction for a few years and then found his passion working at the Meaford Post Office for more than 25 years.
Stacey always had a smile on his face and a welcoming wave. He was genuinely caring to each and every individual he spoke to, regardless of how his day had been. He truly cared about every single person he spoke to, no matter how late it made him; Stacey would take the time to chat. This is what made him such a fantastic person, he cared about everyone, no matter what the scenario was, he always put others before himself. He will be missed tremendously in our hearts and in the community.
Stacey’s family will receive friends for a public visitation at the Ferguson Funeral Home in Meaford on Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 2 until 5 p.m. We ask that masks are worn and that all Covid-19 rules and regulations are respected to keep everybody safe. A private graveside service will be conducted at Lakeview Cemetery.
As your expression of sympathy, donations to a fund for Stacey’s girls would be appreciated and may be made directly at the TD Bank in Meaford or by a cheque payable to Emma and Sadie Ryan, through the Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E., Meaford, ON N4L 1B9 to whom arrangements have been entrusted.
