Passed away suddenly, surrounded by his loving family at London Health Sciences – London University Hospital on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. Born in Bathurst, New Brunswick on September 6, 1953, Stephen Lloyd MacKay of Leith, Ontario, was in his 71st year.
Beloved partner of Ethel Urbshott (nee Johnston) of Leith. Loving father of Kelli Moro (Raúl) of Saint John, New Brunswick and Karen Perks (Justin) of Meaford, Ontario and stepfather of Liz Badley (Rob) of Woodstock, Ontario, Jody Adams (Chris) of Sarnia, Ontario. Cherished Bampy of Katie Tilson, Thomas Tilson, Niklas Clark, David Perks and grandpa of Alyssa, Brittany, Gabrielle, Sierra, Brandon and Darren. Dear brother of Wendy Sullivan (Frank) of Bathurst, New Brunswick. Steve will also be missed by his niece Megan Sullivan (Vince) and nephew Matthew Sullivan (Chanel). Fondly remembered by Leslie MacKay of Owen Sound. Steve will be missed by his friends and customers.
Predeceased by his parents Freddy and Constance MacKay (nee Tower) and by his sister Donna MacKay.
A come and go memorial visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Sunday, June 23, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to G & B House Owen Sound are appreciated.
