Bert Adams of Meaford passed away peacefully at the Meaford Long Term Care Centre on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at the age of 88.
Born on December 25, 1932 in St. Vincent Township, Bert was a son of the late Gordon and Viola (nee Phillips) Adams.
He will be greatly missed by his sister Rosalie Wark and her husband Douglas, and by his nephews and nieces Brian and Rosemary Adams, Cheryl and Larry Sutter, Marie and Brian Johnson, and Amber and David Moore. Bert was predeceased by his brother Carl Adams in 2018, and will be remembered fondly by his sister-in-law Berniece Adams. He will also be dearly missed by his great friends Dan and Carol Potter.
Bert was a very hard worker and worked at several jobs during his life; the Woolen Mills in Meaford, Kings Construction in Owen Sound, and the Textile Factory in Elmira. He felt is greatest achievement was volunteering at Habitat for Humanity Re-Store in Owen Sound.
There will be no public visitation or service due to the present Covid 19 rules and restrictions. A private family service of committal and interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford. As your expression of sympathy, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated and may be made through Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E., Meaford, ON N4L 1B9 to whom arrangements have been entrusted.
