William Roy Long

Bill passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side, at the Chapman House Hospice, on Thursday, June 29, 2023. Born on November 30, 1951, William Roy Long of Owen Sound, was in his 72nd year.
Dearly loved husband and best friend of the late Patricia “Paddy” Stevenson (née Doyle). Loving father of Shawn Long (Amy), of Mono, Chris Long (Tamara), of Monkton and Matt Long (Jacquie), of Chatsworth. Proud grandfather of Madelyn, Olivia, Everly, Bailey, Lila and Kattie. Bill will be missed by his nieces and nephews. Dear brother of Carol Nickason (Ryan) of Allenford and Paul Long of Chatsworth. Predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Marguerite Long.
Visitation will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492 on Wednesday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Gerry Hofstetter officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date. A reception will immediately follow the service at the home of his brother, Paul Long, 237146 Concession 2A, Chatsworth.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Chapman House Hospice would be appreciated.
