It is with deep sadness that our family announces the passing of Zeta Youngblut, born April 23,1939, who after a short fight with cancer passed away peacefully with her family at her side at Chapman Grey Bruce Hospice on November 8, 2024.
Zeta was predeceased by her son Kevin Youngblut and by ex-husband Barrie Youngblut.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter Koreen Ryan (David) and daughter-in-law Carol Youngblut. Zeta was predeceased by her parents John and Anna Coghlan, brother Brian Coghlan and sister-in-law Lucy Beland. She will be fondly missed by her siblings Marilyn Barkell (predeceased Don), Ken Coghlan (Vera), Charlene Prince (Ken) and in-laws Douglas Youngblut (Ann) and predeceased by Betty Tate.
Affectionately known as Nana, she will be missed by her grandchildren Josh Ryan, Katie Oldrieve (Gord), Sydney Ryan, Jake and Quinn Youngblut and two great-grandsons Joe and Dan Oldrieve.
Zeta was well known by all for her kind heart, generosity, sense of humour and her big personality. Born in Brudenell and raised in Kirkland Lake she was proud to be a Northern girl.
In keeping with her generous spirit, the family asks that any contributions to be made to the Bruce Peninsula Hospital Foundation or Chapman Hospice of Grey Bruce.
A mass at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Wiarton will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, November 16, 2024 and will be followed by a Celebration of Life at the Wiarton Legion at noon.
Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services.
